Hezekiah Morris

Books

Throughout the pages of Restoring Hezekiah, Hezekiah grows up too fast right before your eyes from a little boy into a troubled man. However, it appears that Hezekiah was never a little boy. Hezekiah is left to himself, to raise himself on the streets, where he learned to hustle. His environment, home life, and peers would not allow him to be a child. So, from a very early age he began doing things that adults do, from sex, drugs, alcohol, and a party lifestyle, that led to encounter after encounter with the law.

The journey of Hezekiah's life is a spiritual journey as he runs away from God because of what he saw in the home and the real lives of people in the church. But along that path, God chased him until He cornered him in jail. Hezekiah leads the reader through a rocky path from a horribly broken life to wholeness! He concludes with remarkable insights and wisdom while sitting behind bars when Christ revealed Himself in bright light. Christ called out to him, and he answered! That day his hope and dignity were restored! Then the "Beast" became a Better Man.

About the Author

Hezekiah Morris is a 38-year-old alpha male. His leadership skills have been apparent from childhood. He was born in Appomattox Virginia. He now resides in Lybchburg, Virginia. Hezekiah has one brother and one child, Kyla Israel. Despite his trials, Hezekiah graduated Magna Cum Laude from Skyline College in the Computer Engineering Program with a 3.7 GPA and made the Dean's list. He is currently a Material Handler/Machine Operator with hopes of pursuing a career as an ordained minister, with a concentration in counseling. Hezekiah enjoys reading, sports, and spending time with his family. Hezekiah's dream is to enlighten and empower as many troubled youth and adults as possible by sharing his story. He wants everyone to know that anyone can change and that life gets better through faith in Christ. Perhaps the most important truth that the reader should be aware about Hezekiah Morris is that he has a compelling story to tell that can change the lives of young urban dwellers. Hezekiah didn't come from privilege but never felt entitled - like the world owed him something. In fact, he felt like he owed those who struggle through life. He tells his story with authenticity, without holding back the truth and tells it in graphic detail.

RESTORING HEZEKIAH
ME & ONLY ME

I know I'm not perfect. That's why I don't look for a perfect woman. I just looking for a real woman who is just as confused about love as I am. Hopefully I can figure that one out one day. I am
looking for somebody who still believes in that “old love”, So they can finally prove to me that I am not a
fool for still believing in love. I know that I am someones blessing what happened in my past is the past I
must move on.
Today I choose to live by choice not by chance, to make changes in my life and not to make
excuses, to be motivated and not manipulated. To be useful and not played. To exce
l in all that I do, but
not to compete with any one but my self.
Today I choose self-esteem not self pity. I choose to listen to
Hezekiah not the thoughts of others. I have slept in a jail cell, slept on a couch, slept on a floor, but I
never slept on myself. I am me, I am who I was meant to be I am my past, my present, and my future. I
am who I choose to be. I am all three, a work in progress!!

"As the curtain closes on all I have attempted to do and be.  I want to look into your eyes and see that I mattered.  Not what I looked like, Not what I did or how much money I made, Not even how talented I was.  I want to look into the teary eyes of someone who loved me and see: I Mattered!"                             -Hezekiah Morris
